The Condor LCS Cobra Gun Belt is a popular battle belt and has a large following of outdoor enthusiasts. The company manufactures a whole series of battle belts and they have been making quality belts for years.
One good feature is that the Condor LCS Cobra Gun Belt has an extra non-slip pad you can place at the rear of the belt to provide extra padding. This is great for battle belts loaded out with kit.
This belt can carry heavy loads because it is well made, has an extra pad, and the support material has been reinforced.

In our opinion, the Condor LCS cobra gun belt is the best budget battle belt on the market because it offers the best combination of price and quality. For just around 80 dollars it delivers a variety of great features, it’s quite comfortable, has a nice slim design, and a durable cobra belt buckle and it can withstand a lot of wear and tear.
Durability
The strong materials and well-built construction make this a durable piece of kit you can use for years. Condor Outdoor has no doubt learned over time how to make a great belt.
Material Quality
This belt features an AustriAlpin Cobra buckle in 7075 aluminium alloy with stainless steel and brass components. Their proprietary LCS material is strong and features laser-cut webbing for MOLLE pouches.
Comfort
Besides the strong materials, low price, and great features, the Condor Outdoor LCS Cobra Belt is very comfortable compared to many other belts. The included non-slip pad can be added for even more comfort.
Belt Design
This is a 1-belt system, but you can use it with an interior belt. The rubber pad goes on first and the battle belt wraps around that. It’s quite good for relatively static uses like at a shooting tournament or shooting range.
If you’re taking this belt into combat and will be very active I can’t see how the one belt system is going to be stable enough over time. You’ll want an inner belt that locks to the outer belt with strong Velcro.
Webbing
It has laser-cut webbing for your MOLLE pouches. This new technique makes the webbing sit very tight against the belt. You may even need a metal shim to push your MOLLE straps through, but once they’re in they stay tight just as they should be.
Buckle Design and Quality
The included AustriAlpin Cobra buckle has become a standard for good design and quality in battle belts. One great feature that isn’t talked about much is that you can adjust the length of the belt on both sides of the Cobra buckle.
Best for?
This battle belt is great for outdoor hunting, camping, air-soft, and shooting enthusiasts. It can hold plenty of weight and it’s comfortable enough to wear for hours.

2. Tacticon Battle Belt
The Tacticon Battle Belt is a well-made 1-belt system with padding on the inside. There is no Velcro hook and loop system to attach two separate belts. Your battle belt goes over your pants and over the belt holding them up.
Tacticon chose a strong metal quick-release buckle that has been proven strong on other more expensive belts. The company appears to make just one battle belt at this time.
The laser-cut webbing is strong and tight, holding MOLLE attached pouches firmly against the belt with no slippage.
But, is it the right belt for all circumstances? Probably not. Make sure you see our “Cons” section below.

The material is durable enough on its own and is very much like other belt quality in this price range. The backup plan is that it comes with a lifetime warranty.
Material Quality
The stainless steel buckle, 1000D nylon belt material, and laser-cut webbing all point to a high-quality belt.
Comfort
Tacticon states that this belt can hold 100 lb. of gear. With the single belt setup, it is not that comfortable the more pouches and heavier kit you put on it.
Belt Design
This is a single battle belt setup with one belt that supports all your gear and goes overtop of the belt holding up your pants. There is padding on the inside of the belt to make it more comfortable.
Webbing
Like the Condor Outdoor battle belt we looked at in the first review, this one has laser-cut webbing. This is quickly becoming the preferred style of webbing because it’s so tight and takes a long time to loosen up with wear and tear.
Buckle Design and Quality
The belt has a quick-release metal buckle closure system designed in-house. It’s stainless steel and the company uses this same buckle for its more expensive belts.
Best for?
Like all single-belt systems, this is a good rapid deployment belt you can throw on very quickly at a moment’s notice and be ready to go. It’s also comfortable enough to wear on the job for 12 hours if you don’t load it too heavily.
Ideally, this belt is great for just about everything except deployment, and then we’d only recommend a 2-belt system.

3. 5.11 Tactical Men’s VTAC Combat Belt
This 5.11 Tactical Men’s VTAC Combat Belt was made in cooperation with Viking Tactics, another tactical gear manufacturer. Both are well-known and trusted brands known for producing high-quality products. This belt is no different.
You’ll need to add an interior belt to this combat belt. It can be up to 2.25″ wide to fit the available space. With a low price for this 5.11 belt, you can afford to get a good inner belt with a Cobra quick-release buckle if you think you need one.
This is a reinforced belt that can handle some weight. You can quickly put it on and take it off with a good metal quick-release buckle. Don’t forget to get it if you don’t have one.

Strong polyester mesh on the inside of the belt covering the padding is an extra step we don’t usually see in battle belts. Standard weather-resistant 500D nylon throughout. It has strong sewing and reinforcements.
Comfort
This is a thick battle belt that is filled with padding to soften the hard spots. The belt has rigid polyester inserts that conform to the body to make the belt more comfortable.
Belt Design
This is only the battle belt section. You’ll need an inside belt of 2.25″ or less in thickness to complete the system. You’ll thread that through the battle belt and it is worn over your pants and any belt in your pants.
Webbing
Strong webbing supports 5.11 SlickStick and MOLLE pouches. Webbing goes completely around the belt.
Buckle Design and Quality

4. Condor Gen II Battle Belt
This belt upgrades and replaces the first generation belt. To keep the price down they’ve removed the inner belt with the AustriAlpin Cobra belt buckle everyone loves.
This battle belt has a contoured shape to make it easier to bend, kneel, and move around as the shape conforms to your body more. It’s comfortable and has some nice features.
You’ll need to use this belt with an H-harness or suspenders if running heavy kit. It isn’t a heavy-duty standalone belt.

Durability
Heavy loads are going to sag this belt. Using light loads will ensure greater longevity. The materials themselves are durable but the design is not ideal for someone who needs to carry heavy gear.

Condor Outdoor is known for using high-quality materials and they have a good quality control protocol. This belt is made from quality materials, fibers, threading, and stitching.
Comfort
Comfort level is high during prolonged standing, squatting, reaching, and moving. This battle belt has good padding and rubberized mesh around the sides to add some air flow to the system.
Belt Design
This is a 1-belt system with an inner belt running through the battle belt. The belt is not included. There are 4 D-rings for suspenders or attachment to an H-harness. An interesting addition is the belt has two leg holster attachment openings, one on each side.
The major downside is that without attachment to the H-harness it is weak as a standalone belt.
Webbing
The webbing fits MOLLE pouches. The webbing is not tight at all and is the main drawback of using this battle belt. It’s easy to see why heavy pouches will cause this belt to sag.
Buckle Design and Quality
There is no buckle or belt supplied with this duty belt so you are free to purchase one you like between 1.5-2″. Sticking with the 1.75″ wide belts will assure compatibility with more systems down the road.
Product Evolution
This Generation II design focuses more on ergonomics and has a contoured fit that flexes where necessary to increase mobility and comfort.
Best for?
This belt is ideal for air-soft hobbyists, outdoors folks, hunters, and hobbyists at the shooting range. The belt tends to fold over with extra heavy gear. Running lighter gear on this belt is a good idea. Or, just use it as it is intended, to be used in conjunction with the H-harness to distribute weight more evenly over your shoulders and hips.
